2 ⅛" opening. Front of lens fitting. No speed indicator.

2081 .

The early Time shutter, introduced in 1887, followed the patent more closely than later models. The release arm was attached to the lower edge of the shutter. The shutter was wound by a knob attached to the upper roller that moved the setting wheel (there was no cord). The T and I setting was by a small lever and cam at the top of the shutter near the setting wheel. A cord and internal pulley to set the shutter were introduced in 1889, from around 1890 the arm was attached at the top of the shutter. The operation is the same as the later 'T&I' shutter. Optionally, on later models, a ratchet speed indicator could be fitted.
